The U.S. Government wastes our money, and wants us to let them “run” health care?

You don’t have to look far for examples of the ineptitude of the American Government. They waste billions and billions of dollars each year, but somehow, we’re supposed to believe they’ll do better with health care? Hardly. It’s not even a challenge to find examples of waste and mismanagement in our government. And it would be irresponsible for citizens to believe they’ll do anything different when they’re in charge of our health care. In addition to the massive amount of money our government will waste, they will simply do a bad job with health care. Sorry, but I trust my current doctor more than I trust the system. Here’s the latest example of waste, abuse, and ineptitude in our federal government : The Census Bureau …

There is no free lunch. If the government provides us a benefit, it’s really we who provide that benefit. It’s our government, and the money that it’s giving us is our own, whether that money is borrowed or comes from tax receipts. The health care legislation that appears likely to pass the Senate is such a bill. The legislation,...
Most tax professionals I know want a limited government and limited taxation. The measure that the House will likely approve tonight will be disastrous in so many ways. First, there are twenty new taxes in the measure. I’ve talked about this before but an essential reality of taxes is that all taxes are passed on to consumers. If a business...
With the new Healthcare Bill, Congress expanded the responsibilities of the Internal Revenue Service and essentially changed the relationship between taxpayers and the IRS. With the new health care legislation, the IRS is the chief enforcer for the new government-operated health insurance system. The IRS will have the authority to collect additional...
Almost thre years ago, Barry Minkow and Fraud Discovery Institute released a report on Usana Health Sciences (NSDAQ:USNA) , listing ten red flags of fraud he and his team (which included me) uncovered about the company. The report criticized the company’s business model, essentially calling it a pyramid scheme in which recruiting is the focus...
There’s nothing illegal about having a foreign (offshore) trust. However, if you use that trust to shelter (hide) income, and if you fail to disclose the trust, and if you lie to federal agents about the trust, you can find yourself in a world of problems. Take the case of Dr. David Alan of Rices Landing, Pennsylvania (near Pittsburgh). Dr....
When I last wrote about the healthcare legislation, I noted the 17 taxes which would be in the plan. Let’s see what’s new in the “Unified Health Care Legislation” proposed by President Obama. 1. Individual Mandate Tax. For those who don’t purchase health insurance, this income tax surcharge continues to exist in this plan....
I wrote last week about my opinion of the fraud that is our federal government’s stimulus programs . Our government has a vested interest in making us think these programs are successful. How else can an agenda of “wealth redistribution” and socialism be promoted? They must have “success” on their side to justify continuing...
The IRS could potentially take personal tax refunds to collect fines from those who do not purchase health insurance in accordance with recent healthcare legislation. Under the new law, most people are required to buy health insurance. If they don’t, they will face harsh penalties. By 2016, those who do not purchase coverage could be hit with...
Before I head out the door, I just saw a short article that a repeal of the new requirement on issuance of 1099s (part of the health care fiasco) was introduced by Democrats today. The measure was an amendment to a bill on health care benefits on 9/11 respondents. The overall measure failed on a procedural vote (it needed a two-thirds vote to pass)....
Anyone who has spent some time on this site knows I’m no fan of the United First Financial Money Merge Account (UFF MMA). This “revolutionary” software is supposed to help you pay off your mortgage in record time, all for the low, low price of $3,500. Unfortunately, it’s being marketed with lies , and the UFF proponents...
